Trilateral Strategic Dialogue with Australia and Japan

Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns will meet July 2 with Australian Foreign Secretary Michael L’Estrange and Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Mitoji Yabunaka for the latest round of the Trilateral Strategic Dialogue (TSD). The TSD brings together the United States, Australia, and Japan to cooperate on issues of common concern.

The July 2 talks will encompass discussion of a broad range of global issues, including developments in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. The three sides will also discuss efforts to enhance trilateral cooperation in areas such as counterterrorism and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
